Thank you for your interest in contributing to Public Health is Political!
We’re excited to read work that pushes boundaries and expands how we think about and practice public health. We welcome submissions from individuals across all disciplines and backgrounds whose writing aligns with our mission.
We publish a range of formats, including essays, historical deep dives, opinion pieces, soapbox profiles, and exploratory writing. We also accept and encourage artwork of various mediums. Written submissions should be between 700 and 2,000 words.
If your piece is accepted, we’ll reach out to collaborate with you through the editing process to get it ready for publication. We actively encourage critique, difference, and even contradiction—our platform is stronger for it! In keeping with our mission, we will not publish work that upholds or reinforces oppressive systems or ideologies. Additionally, because we value your authentic voice and perspective, we do not accept submissions generated by AI.
We look forward to learning from you!
